Sandy Gaskin joined NCCET as the Executive Director in January 2009. Her most recent experience has been as the Executive Dean of Continuing Education at Austin Community College. She has a nursing background and taught in the Associate Degree Nursing programs both at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas as well as DeAnza College in Cupertino, California.  Sandy was a Minnie Piper Stevens Professor Award nominee from Austin Community College in

1991, received a Notable Woman in Texas award in 1984, and has been recognized for her volunteer work with the American Diabetes Association both locally and statewide.  She has consulted in numerous areas both as a specialist in diabetes education as well as a leader in workforce and continuing education.
