CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
Deadline (Extended): April 15, 2019
The National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET) invites you to submit a proposal for a concurrent session presentation at the 2019 Annual Conference, September 22-25, 2019 in Orlando, Florida. Proposals may be submitted for individual presentations, co-presenter presentations, and panelist presentations (maximum of 3 panelists). Proposals including co-presenters from successful business or community partnerships are also welcome.
About the Annual Conference
The NCCET Conference is hosted by a different U.S. city in the Fall and welcomes between 250 and 300 attendees each year. Both new and experienced professionals are encouraged to attend. Participants come from across the United States and represent a wide range of positions and roles within their institutions. This dynamic event encourages individuals to learn, share, expand their networks, and embrace the exciting and dynamic field of workforce and continuing education. Participants gain valuable insight and information that can be applied in their current and prospective roles.
While the conference is designed to enhance and support your professional development, we also hope you will plan to stay an extra day or two to enjoy the many cultural opportunities provided by our host location for 2019, Walt Disney World.
The call for presentations is a competitive process. Only presentations from a community college with the primary presenter being from that college will be accepted. Industry partners may participate as a co-presenter with a college.
The 50th Annual Conference shall be focusing its topic areas to the following three areas:
Access to world class to workforce development curriculum.
Professional development for your staff.
Marketing and revenue initiatives to help you grow your college.
The concurrent sessions are 45-50 minutes in length which allows 35-40 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A and discussion.
The criteria for selection include the following:
Related to one of the three topics areas above.
Clarity in describing purpose, objectives, outcomes, content and strategies for involvement & learning
Adherence to proposal guidelines and requirements
Clearly defined value to the audience and the profession
Best practices and ready-to-use participant take-aways
Replicability of projects/programs
Effective and engaging presentation style, and audience engagement
Qualifications of the presenter(s)
Presenters will receive a $50 per person discount on the 2019 Annual Conference registration fee Honorarium and/or expenses are not provided for concurrent session presenters. All presenters are required to register, stay at the hosting hotel, and pay the conference registration fee.
NCCET uses Submittable.com to manage its speakers. Therefore, once you click SUBMIT HERE, you will go to a screen where you will Sign Up to create an account. You will use this account to provide your submission and manage the logistics of your presentation. You will need to verify your email address before getting started. Once you create your account, select the "NCCET 2019 Annual Conference Call for Presentations". You are able to complete the online form in multiple seatings if needed.
Submission Deadline & Notification
Deadline for submissions is NOW April 15, 2019. Primary contacts for presentation proposals will be notified of status by May 15, 2019.

Those presentations not selected for live presentations at the annual conference may be selected to provide a webinar to NCCET members. We strongly encourage you to present a webinar to our members so that they may benefit from your presentation.
